When I see someone on Facebook with a status like, “When God closes a door, he opens a window!” or, “He is Risen, and His love is infinite,” my immediate reaction is, “Wow, what an idiot.”
That being said, I have nothing against Christians. However, blind faith has always filled me with contempt. People that tend to post this sort of status are, I believe, not the type of person to think critically about their own beliefs or why they feel the need to shout them at other people. So I guess that I’m not angry at them personally but I am angry at the notion that yelling about Jesus all day long is great but I make one post about atheism and it turns into a shit fest of fighting because Christians can’t calm the fuck down and realize that it’s okay for people to believe things that they don’t.
